Emily’s roots are in Orange County, California. After high school she escaped to the contrasting environment of Brooklyn, NY to study industrial design at Pratt Institute. There she made art, furniture, music, friends and began her lifelong quest refining the omnipresent aesthetic- to simplify. She then served for the Peace Corps in Panama with the lovely Naso people. While she shared with them many things, they taught her more: how to wield a machete, swim the width of a river, most especially how to be a good neighbor. Now in Seattle she continues to aim for simple living and loving.
